WELCOME/AACM NEW YORK - Celebrating 53 Years of Artistic Dedication

The Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians is one of the oldest non-profit music organizations in the United States devoted to the presentation and performance of contemporary music. The year 2015 concluded a successful 50th anniversary celebration, we are thankful to be privileged with the opportunity to present and perform contemporary music as our journey continues.

The AACM New York City Chapter, Inc. presented a musical tribute to Dr. Muhal Richard Abrams at the Community Church of New York on the 29th of January 2018. There were performances by AACM New York City Chapter, Inc. members, invited guest artists and remarks from friends and associates. The evening was an inspired event which earned praise and applause from both participants and invited guest. Dr. Muhal Richard Abrams family and the AACM New York City Chapter, Inc. thank all who helped make the event the success that it was.
